St. George’s Dragon Ridgetile (Half-round tile)
This is a finely detailed design displaying the famous dragon from the legend of St. George. In Victorian times ornamental ridgetiles, or finials, were extremely popular as decorative elements for roofs and gables. In more recent years there has been a resurgence in the desire to bring more life and individuality to buildings, or to replace original pieces.
The St Georges Dragon Ridgetile is cast in frostproof casting stone and can remain outdoors all year round. The ridgetile is 39cm high, 23cm wide, 28cm in depth (from nose to wingtip), and weighs about 11kg. The tile is half-round with an inner width of 20.5cm. The colour is aged terracotta.
This design is also available on a “V” tile.
Actual colours can differ from the photos. Because all our ornaments are made and finished by hand no two are exactly alike.
