Parthenon Horse Head Plaque (left)

This fine plaque is a reproduction of one of the many horse heads carved on the Parthenon Frieze. Sculpted between c. 443 and 438 BC the frieze was created to adorn the upper part of the Parthenon’s naos, or inner chamber.

This piece is part of our Cotswold Collection; finely crafted ornaments suitable for both indoors and outdoors.

Cast by hand in frost proof casting stone the Parthenon Horse Head Plaque can remain outdoors all year round. The ornament is 27cm wide, 30cm high and weighs about 5kg. The finish has the look of weathered marble. It is cast with a strong hook at the, back for secure display.

Actual colours can differ from the photos. Because all our ornaments are made and finished by hand no two are exactly alike.
