A Tree Spirit is a nature deity that acts as guardian to an individual tree. Every branch and leaf contains an element of the spirit of the tree it originated from and this is depicted here in this finely detailed piece. Such deities are present in many cultures. The status of tree deities varies from that of a local fairy, ghost, sprite or nymph, to that of a god or goddess. Tree Spirits and the Green Man are closely related.

Cast by hand in frost proof casting stone our Cotswold Treeman can remain outdoors all year round. The ornament is cast with a strong hook for secure display. The Cotswold Treeman is 11cm wide, 36cm high, and weighs about 2kg. The colour is Cotswold sandstone.

All our ornaments are cast and coloured by hand in our workshop in Zeeland, the Netherlands.

Actual colours can differ from the photos. Because all our ornaments are made and finished by hand no two are exactly alike.
