Bacchus round (large)
This impressive piece is a representation of Bacchus, the Roman god of wild nature, wine, and fertility. Known to the Greeks as Dionysus his purpose according to ancient mythology was to store and release the energy of nature, preside over the harvest, and thereby bring an end to care and worry.
Cast by hand in frost proof casting stone the Bacchus can remain outdoors all year round. The ornament is cast with two strong hooks for secure display. It is 45cm wide, 48cm high, and weighs 15kg. The colour is weathered Cotswold sandstone.
All our ornaments are cast and finished by hand in our workshop in Zeeland, the Netherlands.
Actual colours can differ from the photos. Because all our ornaments are made and finished by hand no two are exactly alike.
Because of the size and weight of this piece we’re unable to ship it. However you’re welcome to collect the Bacchus at any time from our workshop (please contact us first).
