Baby Griffin Ridgetile (Half-round tile)
This is a finely detailed design displaying a young griffin about to test his wings. In Victorian times ornamental finials, or ridgetiles, were extremely popular as decorative elements for roofs and gables. In more recent years there has been renewed interest in bringing more life and individuality to buildings, or to replace original pieces.
This Baby Griffin Ridgetile is cast in frostproof casting stone and can remain outdoors all year round. The ridgetile is 34cm high, 20cm wide, 28cm in depth (from nose to tail), and weighs about 9kg. The tile is half-round .The colour is aged terracotta.
This design is also available on a “V” tile.
Actual colours can differ from the photos. Because all our ornaments are made and finished by hand no two are exactly alike.
